It’s been a quiet summer for real estate in Puerto Vallarta, and even the months before that were relatively slow. Although last season was strong for me, some agents found it quieter than usual. But October? It’s started off with a bang! I’ve seen a lot of inquiries and activity, and it feels like this is going to be a great season for the market.
It’s also expected to pick up even more after the upcoming election, as we often see a temporary slowdown around election time here in PV. One thing that’s shifted, though, is pricing. We’re no longer seeing the soaring prices from a few years ago—sellers are now needing to be more realistic and grounded with their pricing.
For buyers, I’d say it’s essential to step away from the “bargain hunter” mindset and recognize that PV is a fantastic market to invest in. It always has been and will continue to be. Now is the time to buy before more competition enters the market as the season heats up.
